Tabbouleh my way

Once I had Tabbouleh in a restaurant in Frankfurt. I loved it as it is very refreshing dish, perfect for a warm evening.

The other day, my husband was grilling for dinner and I prepared the salad to go with. While we were eating (and by the way, the meat was fantastic... thank you!), the salad reminded me the great taste of Tabbouleh. Since then, I have been craving for it!

Result: Yesterday, I have made Tabbouleh for dinner. I called this post Tabbouleh my way, as I have not followed any recipe but my instinct. And I tell you: It was fantastic and light! Perfect!

Lentils Hamburgers

"Yummy"...

I have already told you how we are changing our feeding habits. Today we are only having vegetarian for dinner. We figured that is tasty and furthermore we sleep much better. It is easier to digest, it is healthier.

So trying to discover new ideas for our meals, I remembered that once I have ate very tasty vegetarian hamburgers. Then, I tried to create something similar. As a result, I have made 8 hamburgers, which I thought would be enough for the next day too, and at the end of the meal nothing was left.

Lentils

My mom used to make Lentils soup, and I confess that the characteristically taste of this pulse didn't make a big fan of it.

On the other hand, it is very healthy and from time to time, I thought, why not?!

Hence, as you can imagine, I am not a big expert and I have kind of tried to cook them my way.

Chicken with corn

On Saturday I went to the market to buy fresh ingredients for the baby. I love to do that, the street markets in Germany are so nice...

This time, I went to the butcher and got chicken breast to make a special dish. In fact, the idea was to make a dish similar to the  Ham with pasta, but this time with chicken breast. The result was amazing. It smells good and must taste wonderful too. Our little star loved it.

Ham with pasta for babies

Almost ready...
Firstly I need to apologize myself to take so long posting something.
The thing is that we were on vacation and then you know, getting everything in order again takes some time.
Anyhow, the holidays were beautiful but I need to be honest with you: I was already missing you! :-)

Today, I have made pasta with ham for the baby. He loved it and has he is already with 8 months, I have raised the food portion for 220g.

The recipe will give you 3 portions.

Couscous my way

"Yummy"...
Last Friday before Easter... Still we are not allowed to eat meat as you know... Therefore, I have tried to cook couscous.

It was my first time cooking couscous so I was not sure how to do it. Luckily it ended up very well :-) I mean, it was a little bit too spicy for me, but my husband loved it and that is what it matters for me :-)

Portuguese fish stew for babies

Ready...
Yesterday I had a big craving of Caldeirada.

Caldeirada is a kind of Fish Stew we always do in Portugal, specially on the village I am coming from. Actually it is one of our traditional dishes. Oh... and how tasty it is... Like someone would say: "OH MY GOD!"

I still remember the smell when my mom used to do it... So I have tried to recreate it, the problem was that I never paid attention to it as I was always preparing the table and everything to eat it (Nice memories :-) )... I think I got it ;-)

Salmon for babies

Ready...
I like to give to the baby a different meal everyday. So, I usually cook for him and then freeze the meals. Then everyday, I just need to choose what he will have for lunch :-)

In fact, I have never built a week menu, but perhaps it is what I am going to do soon :-)

Yesterday I have made him some Salmon. It was his first time eating salmon... And he liked it :-)

My salmon noodles

"Yummy"...
As I told you yesterday, during Lent we are not supposed to eat meat on Fridays. Hence, I have made salmon with noodles for my lunch.

For you to get an idea, it was so good that when I went to the fridge to warm up the leftovers for dinner, there was nothing left. Some "theft" have "stolen" my fridge :-)

Poached eggs

During Lent we are not supposed to eat meat on Fridays, as you know. I always to try to do it, but somehow I always end up forgetting it.

In fact, I am being quite good this year. I have been able to do it. For that reason, I have done Poached Eggs to eat with leftovers of the Peas soup.

Portuguese Stew for the all family

In Portuguese, this kind of stew is called Jardineira. It is extremely tasty and a perfect dish for the all family. That's what I have done.

The baby was needing food and we didn't have dinner. Therefore, I thought nothing better than a Jardineira.

Finally the Green Lasagne

According to my husband (Love), the Lasagne was specially good yesterday.
Yummy...

First, I will tell you the story of my Lasagne: Once a year, perhaps, I would make Lasagne. I didn't really like to do it, as was never ending up good. Either the sauce was not good enough, or the pasta not cooked... whatever, there was always a problem... So I would only cooked if Love would ask me.

However, when my dad came to visit the other day and brought his girlfriend, which is vegetarian, I thought on making a Green Lasagne. I have searched for a recipe that was not with Spinaches, I wanted something different. So then I found one that I thought it could be "Yummy".

Niewo: a restaurant in Bornheim

I promised to post my Green Lasagne recipe, but I was surprised by my husband!

He arrived home much earlier than expected and said: "Today, we will go for dinner!" :-)

As you can imagine, I was very happy about it.

We went to a small restaurant called Niewo, in Bornheim. A very sweet and cozy place with an amazing beautiful biergarten.

Today I didn't cook

I am really sorry dear readers. I didn't cook today.

The baby food was already ready. My husband has a business dinner. What's the point of cooking?

So then, I hate the rest of the 'Salad soup' as I called it yesterday at home and a toast.
Perfect to keep losing weight ;-)

Tomorrow, I will cook Green Lasagne. It is one of our favourite dishes.

Green Soup

Today I was looking for something different. Usually I don't cook heavy meals in the evening, but was getting bored of salad. So, I've tried something new: Green Soup!
