Poached eggs

During Lent we are not supposed to eat meat on Fridays, as you know. I always to try to do it, but somehow I always end up forgetting it.

In fact, I am being quite good this year. I have been able to do it. For that reason, I have done Poached Eggs to eat with leftovers of the Peas soup.

Poached eggs are very easy to do and you can eat them with everything: in a soup cream, in a toast, with tomato sauce, with beans and bacon... with everything.
Ingredients for poached eggs

Ingredients:

  • 2 or 3 eggs
  • 500ml water
  • salt
  • vinegar
Place the water, the salt and vinegar in a pot and bring it to boil in high heat. 

Ready
When the water is boiling, it is time to add the eggs. Place it one by one and do it slowly.

Let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes in high heat.

After 3 minutes, maximum, the eggs are ready. Turn the heat off. 

Take them out of the water really carefully, using a table spoon or a slotted spoon.

The poached eggs go really well with Tomato Soup. Will do it one of these days :-)
