As promissed... Rhabarberkuchen

Yesterday evening I made the German Rhubarb cake.
It was so delicious... You have no idea...

Ingredients:


  1. For the dough
    • 6 yolks
    • 200gr sugar
    • 50gr margarine
    • 400gr flour
    • 2 tee spoons from backing powder
    • Ingredients for the Rhubarb cake
    • 3 table spoons from milk
  2. For the filling
    • 500ml milk
    • 2 table spoons from sugar
    • 1 package from vanilla pudding
    • 1kg Rhubarb (or 750gr if already cleaned)
    • For the icing
      • 6 egg whites
      • 200gr sugar
    Preparation:
    Preheat the oven to 200°C.
    Dough: In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and the yolks. Combine the flour,
    the baking powder, the margarine the milk. Let it rest during one hour. In the 
    meantime, prepare the pan.

    Filling: Make the vanilla pudding and let it cool down. Meanwhile, prepare the 
    Rhubarb and chop it.
    The cake before going to the oven
    Put the dough on the pan, like you would do for
    pie. Then put the pudding and afterwards the 
    Rhubarb. Bake it during 45 minutes in the 
    preheated oven.

    Icing: Beat the egg whites and the sugar until 
    fluffy.

    After 45 minutes, take the cake out of the oven 
    and put the Icing on it. Bake it again for another 
    10 minutes... It is ready.
